Heres something I'm messing around with at the moment. Going to try and overlay colours onto it us touch it up in photoshop and painter to give it that old illustration feel. I've no idea whether it will work or not.
By the way, if any of you haven't done it already, click on Rich Carries link on the right hand side of the page and have a look at the awesome sculpture he's in the middle of creating. It has completely blown me away

Great stuff, as has been said already the angle you've used here is great -- the fact that it's drawn and shaded pretty damned nicely helps too.
Strange thing though...for some reason, each time I look at this pic it puts me in mind of Captain Kirk. Yep.
